- Work with the Executive Secretary/Treasurer to provide information about NCHC to other organizations and to colleges and universities not presently affiliated with NCHC.
- Develop materials, both written, electronic, and audiovisual, to present NCHC to other organizations and institutions as well as to teachers and students.
- Identify organizations whose objectives coincide or significantly complement those of NCHC, and establish informal liaisons with them.
- Recommend, when warranted, to the Board of Directors the establishment of formal relationships with the most relevant organizations, including organizational membership, exchange of communications and information, and joint projects.
- Develop contacts with graduate record agencies as well as grant-giving agencies.
- Organize programs at the annual convention with representatives of graduate record organizations and grant giving agencies.

Present a budget in a timely fashion to the Finance Committee or the Conference Program Planner to support the committee activities.
- Identify national education issues and provide recommendations to the Board of Directors of actions NCHC ought to take to publicize its position on such issues and enhance its national impact.
- Develop occasional national symposia or teleconferences on major issues in post secondary education.
- Develop contributions for the NCHC publications focused upon important committee projects.
- Report regularly in writing to the Board of Directors.
- Work to meet the goals and objectives of NCHC’s Mission Statement.
