Committe Charge
The Research Committee shall:
- Encourage, stimulate, and undertake research directed towards honors programs, honors students, and honors faculty.
- Work closely with the Conference Program Planner and the Conference Planning Committee to develop workshops and presentations reflecting current and ongoing research in honors
- Identify areas of research related to the academically talented student and appropriate pedagogy, environments, and/or co-curricular activities for honors students.
- Serve as a resource for NCHC Committees seeking to do research by providing help as needed.
- Develop regular communications to NCHC publications.
- Report regularly to the Board of Directors and to the members of NCHC the findings of research, together with recommendations toward improving the quality of educational practices in honors programs.
- Work to meet the goals and objectives of NCHC’s Mission Statement.
