On the Role of the Site Visitor as Consultants & Program Reviewers
Kate Bruce, Director, Honors Scholars Program, University of North Carolina - Wilmington
I think the role of an NCHC approved site visitor is to offer constructive evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of honors programs, keeping in mind that each program or college has a unique institutional environment. In many cases, the site visitor can offer an objective and fresh perspective and help the program or college develop its own mission further.
