Self-Identified Areas of Special Interest and Experience of NCHC Recommended Site Visitors

On the Role of the Site Visitor as Consultants & Program Reviewers

The site visitor should seek to strengthen and enhance honors at the institution. Conversations with the director and/or staff should be initiated long before the actual visit. While an honors program can be viewed with reference to NCHC's 16 Points, each program should be objectively viewed in terms of its own institution and needs. The site evaluation should be one that serves as an advocacy for the program.

Site visitations should, if at all possible, include more than one consultant. The objective of a visit is to help the program.
