Board of Directors
As defined by the current NCHC Constitution & Bylaws Article Four, Section 11. Part C. Vacancies:
In the event of death, incapacity, resignation, or abandonment of office by an At-Large Member of the Board of Directors, the unelected candidate who received the highest number of votes in the most recent election for the Board of Directors and who is willing to serve shall be appointed by the President to fill the unexpired term.
For the 2022 term, Beata Jones has accepted the appointment to the seat vacated by Eddie Weller upon his election to the Vice Presidency. Jones will serve the remaining year of Weller’s term. She had been part of the 2021 slate of nominees.
Robert Gasperson, San Antonio College, will complete the student cohort for board representatives. Gasperson had been nominated for a one-year position on the board but was not elected. NCHC's board had two open seats for two-year student terms; Gasperson will serve a single year in this capacity. For honors students interested in board service, the 2022 election will provide opportunities for 2 students serving 2-year terms and 2 students serving for single year terms.
