“I first added my writerly voice to the national honors conversation by publishing an article for JNCHC’s Forum; I eventually went on to edit my own monograph. But it’s been the NCHC community of writers and editors that has shaped most of my 20-year honors career. Some of us realized that students were missing out on the chance to work like we did with their own honors peers so, following the lead of editors Russell Helms, Brian White, and Johnny MacLean, I have done what I can to support NCHC’s student journal, UReCA, the only peer-reviewed undergraduate journal published by a national organization. Publishing with NCHC isn’t just adding a line to your cv; it’s joining a community of writers who care as much as you do about the daily business of honors.” Linda Frost, Ph.D.
