Affiliating yourself with your institution
If you are not the director of your program, or you do not hold a current NCHC Institutional or Professional Membership, and/or have not attended an NCHC program in the past year, you may not be in our new software system yet!
You must sign up as a "Contact" prior to registering for any NCHC program.
Sign up as a Contact!
Be sure to select “Contact” when creating a username for our website. If your institution has an Institutional Membership, signing up as a "Contact" will affiliate you with your institution, and you'll be able to register for the online event, and make use of the NCHC community forums. If you sign up for any membership aside from "Contact," you will be asked to pay for that membership fee.
You'll receive an email notification, and THEN you may start registration for the intended online event.
(If your institution is not a member of NCHC, please proceed as a "Guest.")
Questions? Contact the NCHC office at (402) 472-9150 or nchc@unl.edu.
With the cancellation of projects for 2020 and 2021, the NCHC Partners in the Parks Committee wants to ensure that we create alternatives to projects to continue to foster these meaningful collaborations with NPS to benefit students from NCHC member institutions. From undergraduate student to institutional administration, all with an interest in adventure are welcome to join for these monthly meetings. Crater Lake inspires awe. Native Americans witnessed its formation 7,700 years ago, when a violent eruption triggered the collapse of a tall peak. Scientists marvel at its purity: fed by rain and snow, it’s the deepest lake in the USA and one of the most pristine on earth. Artists, photographers, and sightseers gaze in wonder at its blue water and stunning setting atop the Cascade Mountain Range. Established in 2007 with a National Park Service Centennial grant, NCHC Partners in the Parks has offered 116 projects in over 44 different national parks, monuments, trails, rivers, seashores, and recreation areas, and has included over 1,100 participants. The close coordination between the NPS leadership and staff and NCHC affiliated faculty has allowed Partners projects to be designed for engaged visits to national parks with the intentional development of scholarship, stewardship and recreation.
