Become an NCHC Member

When you join the National Collegiate Honors Council, you become part of an international community of educational institutions, professionals, and students who are passionate about advancing honors education. NCHC is the oldest and largest organization made up of honors educators and students. Its members know that honors is as diverse as the campuses we serve, and that diversity gives you both a global perspective and a unified voice to support honors right where you are - in your classroom and on your campus. Membership Types

Institutional

Our best value membership option. An institutional membership grants access to online resources and discounts for all individuals at the institution. If separate programs have their own budgets, then each must have their own institutional membership.

Professional

Open to all active faculty, administration, and professional staff of a current NCHC member institution on an annual or lifetime basis. Provides voting rights, publications, and communications to an individual in addition to the institutional membership holder.

Non-Institutional Professional

Open to all active faculty, administrators, and professional staff of an accredited institution that does not hold a current NCHC Institutional Membership. This is a budget-friendly option if you will be the only member for your program.

Student

Open to all students of an accredited institution that holds a current NCHC Institutional Membership. There is no membership fee, but students must annually renew / sign up to stay active in NCHC's database.

Affiliate

Open to all former honors faculty, administrators, professional staff, and alumni, retired or no longer associated with an accredited institution. This is a great option if you are not actively enrolled in or on staff at an accredited program but want to stay connected with the honors community.

Organizational Associate

Open to any public or private association or organization that is supportive of honors education and of the mission of NCHC, that is NOT eligible to become an institutional member. Membership applications for organizational associates are subject to approval by the NCHC Board of Directors
