Building the future of Honors Education, together.

Since its founding in 1966, the National Collegiate Honors Council® (NCHC) has been a champion of innovation, excellence, and equity in honors education. For nearly six decades, our work has brought together students, faculty, and leaders from institutions across the country and around the world to expand access, foster intellectual growth, and support the next generation of changemakers.

To honor this legacy, and to engage those who share our vision for the future, we are proud to introduce the 1966 Society, an exclusive community of donors dedicated to sustaining and advancing NCHC’s mission.

This annual giving society connects passionate individuals with opportunities to directly impact students and programs, while receiving unique recognition and benefits as part of the honors community.

Why Donorship Matters

Honors education thrives on collaboration and innovation, but these efforts require sustained resources.

Membership in the 1966 Society makes it possible for NCHC to:

  • Support students by funding travel, research, scholarships, and experiential learning like Partners in the Parks®, City as Text® and Partners in Peace.
  • Empower educators through professional development, publications, and resources that strengthen honors leadership nationwide.
  • Advance equity and access by expanding honors opportunities to diverse institutions and communities.
  • Preserve the legacy of honors by documenting and celebrating the history and future of honors education.

Your membership ensures that NCHC can continue to grow while remaining a guiding force for excellence in higher education.
