Honors Professional Development for Faculty
Why be a part of NCHC?
Maybe you've been an honors program director for the past 25 years. Maybe you've just been appointed as a new director, or are looking to create an honors program from scratch. Maybe you've never taught an honors course, but you're interested in the curricular laboratory that honors offers. No matter your level of honors experience, NCHC connects you to a network of colleagues that can lead, inspire, and collaborate on your honors journey. If you feel like you're the only one who "gets" honors on your campus, you've found your home at NCHC! Career Development
NCHC has the tools and connections to help you advance along your educational career path. Beginning with the New Directors Institute, those who are new to honors and its curriculum can get the basics of what they need to excel. Joining an NCHC committee, and eventually the NCHC Board of Directors, provides leadership experience on a national level. As your expertise in honors grows, consider applying for a Professional Award, publishing your research in an NCHC Publication, or sharing your knowledge as an NCHC Program Reviewer on peer campuses. Conference Programming
NCHC’s Annual Conference continues a 60-year tradition of gathering the honors community from around the globe to connect and learn from each other. Signature programming provides tracks where attendees of all types can find content just for them. Annual Programming
Volunteer-driven programming is provided in both virtual and in-person formats throughout the year. See how you can connect and collaborate with NCHC's various committees and member groups beyond the Annual Conference. Networking and Resources
