Sam Schuman Award for Excellence at a Four-Year InstitutionPresented to an honors program director or faculty member at the NCHC Annual Conference, this award serves to recognize those who are making outstanding contributions to the honors community at four-year institutions. Learn More
NCHC FellowsNCHC Fellows are distinguished individuals who have given substantial time and energy to furthering the cause of honors education. This award recognizes our honors colleagues who demonstrate a long-term commitment to honors education at their home institutions and leadership with the National Collegiate Honors Council. NCHC Founders AwardThe Founders Award serves to honor members who have been instrumental in the development and advancement of NCHC and its programs. Honors Publication ContestDoes your honors program or college have a publication? If so, you should submit it for consideration to the NCHC Publications Contest. Any current member of NCHC is invited to participate if your honors program or college has its own publication. Learn More
Portz ScholarsCreated in 1990 to honor the work and legacy of John and Edythe Portz, the Portz Scholars Award recognizes up to four undergraduate honors students each year as a result of a research paper competition. Learn More
Sloane Prize for Undergraduate ResearchThe Sloane Prize in Undergraduate Research (S.P.U.R) awards were established in 2016 to fund awards given annually to the top undergraduate presenters in the various categories of Student Posters at the annual conference of the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC). This endowed fund has been established in recognition of the lifetime contributions of Dr. Mike Sloane in promoting undergraduate research. Learn More
