To keep a mix of project participants from a variety of honors institutions, facilitators prefer no more than 2 students from a single institution per project.

Affiliating yourself with your institution

If you are not the director of your program, or you do not hold a current NCHC Institutional or Professional Membership, and/or have not attended an NCHC program in the past year, you may not be in our software system.

You must sign up as a "Contact" prior to registering for any NCHC program, using the link below.

Sign up as a Contact

Be sure to select “Contact” when creating a username for our website. If your institution has an Institutional Membership, signing up as a "Contact" will affiliate you with your institution, and you'll receive the member discount. If you sign up for any membership aside from "Contact," you will be asked to pay for that membership fee.

You'll receive an email notification, and THEN you may start registration for the intended institute.

(If your institution is not a member of NCHC, please proceed as a "Guest.")

*Members receive a 50% discount on NCHC Partners in the Parks registration pricing!

Travel Advisory:
Trip leaders and students should plan to arrive in Portland, Maine a day early (7/18), using the Portland International Jetport (PWM).  Additionally, we advise students to avoid flights with layovers at Baltimore/Washington airport (BWI), as this airport has the reputation of frequently having issues with flights (e.g. delays, cancellations, etc.).  Trip leaders will be staying at the Fairfield Inn Portland Maine Mall.  Students are advised to stay here as well.  It has 24-hour free shuttle to/from Portland International Jetport (PWM), as well as free breakfast.  It is reasonably priced, and students can share the cost by sharing rooms, if desired.  It is the students’ responsibility to arrive at the Fairfield Inn hotel lobby at 9am on 7/19 to begin the drive to Acadia.  Any student who misses the van departure in Portland is responsible for finding and paying for his/her own transportation to Acadia National Park.
