Institute Focus:
Nationally, many students who begin an honors curriculum will not complete it. Advising is an important component of the honors student experience and can have a significant impact on student success and completion in honors. Advising in honors offers the opportunity to work with outstanding and motivated students, but the role is not without its challenges.
This intensive summer institute will address key theoretical foundations of advising and how to implement those frameworks in the context of advising honors students. Both novice and established honors advisors will find value in the institute, as there will be small group work assigned based on experience.
