About the Training Pathway

The Inclusive Excellence Leadership Pathway is a multi-part professional development experience designed for honors educators, administrators, and staff committed to fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments. Spanning the 2025–2026 academic year, this cohort-based series combines virtual workshops, interactive institutes, and in-person collaboration to support professional growth, curriculum innovation, and meaningful leadership practices.

Grounded in evidence-based approaches and aligned with institutional goals, the program equips participants with practical tools, reflective frameworks, and peer networks to lead mission-aligned change within their programs. Through engaging sessions and facilitated dialogue, participants will:

  • Build a broad understanding of inclusive leadership practices that promote academic belonging, respectful engagement, and student success.
  • Apply strategies to enhance access, participation, and support across honors programming—from recruitment and curriculum design to mentoring and co-curricular initiatives.
  • Explore how overlapping aspects of student identity impact engagement, opportunity, and achievement in honors contexts.
  • Strengthen communication skills to guide dialogue and collaboration across difference.
  • Reflect on personal leadership habits and assumptions to foster ongoing responsiveness to student and community needs.
  • Cultivate sustainable, inclusive leadership approaches that advance belonging, equity, and excellence across the honors landscape.

Participants will leave with actionable insights, individualized plans, and lasting peer connections to support long-term impact in their institutions and communities.
