Dr. Amy E. Lebo directs the Woodruff Scholars Program and Research Honors Program at Emory University in Atlanta.Previously, she spent ten years as the Honors Program Director and then Associate Dean of Honors and Scholars atBaldwin Wallace
University (BW) in Ohio. She has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Oregon and held facultystatus through full professor while at BW.
Dr. Lebo's career in higher education has focused on serving the needs of high achieving students through honors andscholars programs as well as undergraduate research programs and advising for national fellowships. Her strengths arein
the unification and assessment of program identity, learning outcomes, and student experiences. She believes thatthe greatest value of assessment is in deepening the intentionality and focus of our work with students, whether insideor
outside the classroom.
As a program reviewer since 2017 and the current chair of the NCHC Assessment and Evaluation Committee, Dr. Lebohas been instrumental in the creation of the new instruments and rubrics that align program review with the SharedPrinciples
and Practices. She has been on the receiving end of NCHC program reviews twice and has been a reviewer at six institutions.
Dr. Patty Williamson earned her B.A.A. and M.A. in Broadcast & Cinematic Arts at Central Michigan University, followed by her doctorate in Mass Media at Michigan State University. In between, she spent a decade working in commercial
radio across the state of Michigan. For more than 20 years, Patty taught courses in media studies, with a focus on film. She also served as the program's Graduate Director and Internship Coordinator.
Dr. Williamson was named Director of the Central Michigan University Honors Program at CMU in 2022. She oversees a 500+ student cohort and administers the annual Centralis Scholarship Competition. Patty strives to help high-achieving students
reach their personal, professional and academic goals, with a focus on experiential learning, appreciation of a global society, and a dedication to altruism and public service. She is currently the chair-elect of the NCHC Assessment
and Evaluation Committee.
Dr. Williamson's research and teaching interests revolve around media depictions of gender, race and sexuality, glass ceiling effects experienced by women in the media industry, binge-watching, and film content regulation. Creative work
is also important to her, and she has won awards for her podcasting and for her documentary Breaking the Sound Barrier.
