Call for Proposals - NCHC26

Submissions Open: February 1, 2026 • 12:00 a.m. (CST)
Deadline to Submit: March 15, 2026 • 10:59 PM CDT

The NCHC Conference Planning Committee is now accepting proposals for the NCHC26 Conference in New Orleans. This year's theme is: Ideas. Questions. Answers. Honors. | Envisioning the Next 60 Years of Honors.

We invite you to pose questions, share ideas and answers, and present your vision of the future of honors with your proposals. As you prepare your submission, please note that we have separated Student Poster proposal submissions into their own form to allow for a more efficient review and scheduling process.

Please Note: Your NCHC Membership must be current by the submission deadline of March 15th for your proposal to be considered. You will also need a Whova account to submit your proposal. (Account creation instructions are available here.)

Session Proposals

Submit proposals for panels, workshops, roundtables, posters, and other session formats.

  • General Session (50 min)
  • Panel (50 min)
  • Workshop (100 min - two 50 minute sessions)
  • Roundtable (100 min - two 50 minute sessions)
  • Student Interdisciplinary Research Panel (50 min)
  • Professional Poster (100 min - two 50 minute sessions)

Student Poster Proposals

Undergraduate students can submit proposals to present their research through poster presentations.

Presentation Limits

NCHC limits individuals to two presentations at the annual conference, excluding invited signature programming presentations (e.g., Beginning in Honors, Developing in Honors, Professional Staff in Honors, Best Honors Administrative Practices, Arts & Creativity Workshops, Student Moderators, or Students in Honors Consultants) NCHC Committee Forums, and meetings.

General Requirements

All categories (with the exception of meetings) will need to include the following:

  • Presentation title
  • 200-word abstract
  • Information about your authors, including name, email, and institution

You will also have the option to upload additional information for consideration.
